It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Monique Smith, age 53, of New Carlisle, Québec on October 31, 2019 in Laval Hospital.
Monique, a lifelong resident of New Carlisle, worked as a cook through the years at a few local restaurants. She also opened up a daycare in her home and with the help from family took care of many of the local children. Auntie Moe, as she was affectionately known, loved her daycare babies.
Family and friends were Monique's passion. She enjoyed helping other people and her generosity was without limits. She enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with friends.
Monique is survived by her husband of 30 years Brian Crozier, her father and mother, Oscar Smith and Sylvine Smith Mallet, her sister and brother in law, Nicole Tritt Smith and Max Tritt, her nieces, Madison and Mallory Tritt along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends on both sides of the family.
Visitations will be held at the Henri Thibodeau Funeral Home, located at 197, Gérard-D.-Lévesque in New Carlisle, on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, from 2 pm to 4 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm with a ceremony to follow. Interment will take place at a later date.
