It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother Roderick, John Lemieux of Verdun, Quebec, who passed away peacefully at home in his sleep, September 9th, 2021, at the age of 72 years old.

Born in Barachois, Quebec, November 9th, 1948, the son of the late Edmund Lemieux, and Diana Rehel. He is survived by his loving sisters and brothers: Terrie, Donna, Greta, Della, Annie, Gilles, Bruno, Osmund, as well as extended family and friends.

After several years of battling many health challenges, Rod just kept pushing forward with hope. His friends and family aided him where they could, but it is thanks to his sister Terrie, who tirelessly, gave him the best possible quality of life, during these last few trying years.
She organized his ‘stay at home care’, by cooking all his meals, coordinating the CLSC Nurses, cleaning services, all the necessities so that Rod could have his wish to remain at his home. Thank you to all the staff at the CLSC de Verdun.

Rod loved family gatherings, playing guitar, singing, one of his favorite expressions was “show-time by the beach”, and he would have a grin from ear to ear.

We love you Rod. Rest In Peace dear brother, no more pain.

A Memorial Gathering will be announced at a later date.
It will be held at Actuel Services Funéraires, 4500 rue de Verdun, Qc, H4G 1M3.
