Dear LeGresely family, please accept my sympathy. Although I didn’t know John, he was the cousin of my mother, Mary LeGresely Corey, who visited the Gaspe and great uncle Frank. Frank came to Vermont to visit when I was a child long ago. We heard of John and Peter. I remember Aunt Glenn, it was so long ago. It was such a coincidence the information on John’s passing came to me when I was simply researching Gaspe a little. My condolences, John’s photo looks so much like my grandfather Norris, I’m sure John was a great man. Perhaps some day I can meet his family.

To John's family,
I look back on the many times my family looked to John to bless a special occasion, whether it be celebration or bereavement, and I am once again very grateful for his extreme generosity and caring. He will always be a source of inspiration to us.
I imagine him "Up There", smiling and continuing to encoourage us all. Thank-you for sharing him with us.

John was a person who dedicated many years of his life to the work of the church and the congregations he served. Always willing to go the extra mile to be sure that everything would be done to everyone's satisfaction.

As a lay reader, I have fond memories of working with John that I will always cherish.

I am sending my deepest sympathies to the families and Peter. I remember your Dad and Faye and Bryan I remember both of you the most. I am the daughter of the late Frank and Ena Assels. Your Dad look's great in the picture. My brother Earl passed away the 25th of July of Dementia age 68yrs. old. Do take care of each other .

I had the opportunity of meeting John not too long ago, a man who I hadn’t seen for such a long time. When I called him by his name he recognized me right away. To John’s family- my sincere sympathy. He was a gentleman, a great community person and a sincere Christian. I worked with him on different occasions in our church and his and it was always a pleasure. Take solace in the fact that he is in a better place.

We were very sad to hear of John's passing away. I had the
pleasure of working with him for many years in the church,
and for all the times we had no regular minister John was
the cornerstone of the church and one of the main reasons
our church is still in existence. May his soul rest in peace.
