Gifted musician.

It is with great sadness that the family of Bill Miller announce his sudden death on November 19, 2022, age 66, beloved son of Hillary and Eva (deceased), youngest brother to Kerry (Geraldine) and Sherrill (Neil). Bill was totally dedicated to his family and his community. Although he had opportunities to pursue different paths, he chose Wakeham in Gaspé as his home enjoying the surrounding woods, rivers and wildlife while working with ZEC. He became the main caregiver and advocate for both his parents and his Uncle Keith when their health declined. Weekly Sunday drives, most often with his mother Eva in the passenger seat, took him to favourite spots in Forillon National Park or the Gaspé Peninsula. These excursions allowed him to develop his love and talent for nature photography. Many of his favourite photos have been shared with his friends and family via social media. Music was his main passion. He taught himself to play a variety of guitars eventually focusing his musical talents on pedal steel guitar. Bill lived his life to the fullest while accepting changes in his health status. Those who truly knew Bill will recognize the courage, love and independence he demonstrated at the end of his life. Although we will all miss his kindness and generosity, the gifts he left behind will live on with us forever. A celebration of Bill’s life will be planned sometime in the future. Donations in Bill’s memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
