Marion Joan Steele, age 88, of New Richmond, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2023. Wife of the late Justin Geraghty, beloved
mother to Michael, Mark (deceased), Rodney, Paul (Rachelle), Cheryl
and grandmother to Kyle, Tyler, Ethan, and Kieran.

Also survived by her sisters Dorothy and Judi. She will be missed by many.

Family and friends can pay their respects at Henri Thibodeau Funeral Home, 221 Chemin Cyr, New Richmond on Monday, August 14, 2023 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

A service wiil be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 1 p.m.
Please take note that visitations will start at 12.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the CANADIAN MARCH of DIMES at

All my sincere sympathies to the Steele families and Geraghty. I was sorry to learn about Joan passing.
My father the late (Hector Belanger) was brought up near the Steel family and was a good friend, had fun with the
Steeles boys, playing tricks. etc. He had good souvenirs.
Rest in peace dear Joan. Courage to the family.

We send our sympathies to all the family of Joan. We remember her as being cheerful and friendly. Joan was my first cousin. My mother, Viola Steele Kimpel McLellan, was sister to Russell Steele. My wife and I intended to be there for the visits and funeral service but felt obliged to cancel arrangements due to our health.

During this time of sorrow, when thoughts may turn to the shortness of this life, may you find the God who raised Jesus from the dead to be your comfort and hope.
