In memory of
Albert Patterson
October 03, 1939 – January 12, 2020 - 80 years old
Albert Patterson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert John Patterson at the Hôtel-Dieu in Gaspe, Québec, on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the age of 80. Husband of Elaine (Bechervaise) Patterson. Albert was born in Rosebridge, QC. Son of the late George and Lyla Patterson.

Including his wife Elaine, Albert is survived by his son Stacy, daughter-in-law Andrea, sister Ruth and sister Beatrice. Albert was a very proud and loving Pappy to Stacy and Andrea’s children Luke and Haley Patterson.

Albert’s life was filled with family and friends who he loved dearly; he was a pillar of the English Community. Co-founder of the Wakeham-York Homecoming Festival, Albert spent countless hours giving his time to communities and organizations in the Greater Gaspe. He loved his sports, the Toronto Maple Leaf’s and the Toronto Blue Jays were 2 of his favorite teams. He loved playing cards and doing wood working projects for Elaine. Since the birth of his grandchildren, Albert became their biggest fan. Whether travelling to Moncton or watching them on You-Tube, he followed every move they made with their respective teams. Albert’s passion will remain a motivator for Luke and Haley in the years to come.
Visitation will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Gaspe at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 16th. The Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Albert Patterson to the Gaspé Cancer Foundation.
