Loved Elsie!! A real trooper!!

My deepest condolences to all the families, thoughts and prayers are with you all

It is so sad to hear of Elsie's passing. She and Joe weren't just my mum's cousin and cousin-in-law, they were great friends to my mum and dad (Gloria [Hayes] and Bill Mitrovka). When Joe and Elsie lived in Pierrefonds, my parents spent many great times with them for birthdays, holidays, dinners. Elsie was a firecracker and the life of the party. The laughter still echoes. When she moved to Shigawake and long after both Joe and my mum passed, Elsie made sure she called my dad regularly. She made him laugh as they talked about Shigawake, crazy things in the news, and their shared past at Nortel. She always sent him a card for his birthday. She was his last friend and he will be very sad to hear this news. Just this week he asked me to write down her number so he could give her a call, "because I haven't heard from her in a bit."
Our deepest condolences to Elsie's family, our extended family. She will be deeply missed by all lucky enough to know her.

So sorry to hear about the passing of dear Elsie. She was a beautiful lady whom we enjoyed visiting over the years. She will be missed for sure.

Very sad to learn of Aunt Elsie's passing. She was a remarkable lady, so strong and courageous. She was always part of The Redfearn's family gatherings while we were growing up in Pierrefonds. Sincere condolences to all.
